if both the parents have curly hair but the children have straight hair . give reason

The curly hair is a dominant trait while the straight hair is a recessive trait.
If both the parents have curly hair, there possible genotype here will be Cc and Cc. The cross between the two can be represented as:

In the above cross CC, Cc represents curly haired child while cc represents straight haired child.

Thus, from the above cross, the possible reason of a child having straight hair is that both the parents are heterozygous for the hair shape i.e they posses one dominant allele and one recessive allele. The presence of recessive allele in both the parents which when inherited together in the child got expressed and resulted in the formation of straight hair.

REcessive genes present in the father or mother may be responsible for this.

When the parents are born, the genes transferred to them from their parents may be hidden. It can also come from their grandparents.

Anyway, the point is that the recessive genes present in the parents might have gotten transferred to the child and expressed in him.
