if L = 8cm, B=6cm, how to find the length of the diagonal of a rectangle using pythagoras theorem pls?

The sides of rectangle are L = 8 cm B = 6 cm.

Since all angles of rectangle are 90o, then the figure formed by the diagonal and two sides of a rectangle will be a right angle triangle.

The as per Pythagoras theorem :

Hypotenuse^{2} = Base^{2} + Perpendicular^{2}

Hypotenuse = √ Base^{2} + Perpendicular^{2}

Hypotenuse = √6^{2} + 8^{2} = √36 + 64 = √100 = 10 cm.

Ans: 10 cm.
