Dear Student,

We have: 90° + x = 180°                             [∵ Angles forming a linear pair add up to 180°]⇒ x = 180° - 90° = 90°Also, 80° + y = 180°                                     [∵ Angles forming a linear pair add up to 180°]⇒ y = 180° - 80° = 100°
