IF SOMETHING HAS TO BE SECRETED IN AREAS WITH CILIATED CELLS , WILL THEY FORM GLANDULAR TISSUE THERE

Dear Student.
Please find below the solution to the asked query.

Glandular tissues are a type of epithelium tissue whose cells are meant for secretions like sweat, oil, hormones etc.   Sometimes a portion of the epithelial tissue folds inwards giving rise to multicellular gland called glandular epithelium. Glandular epithelium cells secrete substances like enzymes, hormones, milk, mucus, sweat, wax and saliva at the epithelial surface.

Ciliated cells that posses hair like structures called cilia and mucus (a slippery secretion produced by the mucous glands) secreting cells. For example, the nasal passage posses ciliated mucus membrane that traps the dust particles present in the inhaled air thus allowing only the filtered air to enter into the lungs.

A gland is required in order to secrete substances like enzymes, hormones, milk, mucus, sweat, wax and saliva.
