If the length of the shadow of a tower is increasing, then the angle of elevation of the sun also increases

Dear Student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Given : If the length of the shadow of a tower is increasing , then the angle of elevation of the sun also increases .

Here , θ is angle of elevation and shadow  =  AB and length of tower = BC

We know :  tan θ = OppositeAdjacent , So

tan θ = BCAB , Here BC remain same but AB is increasing and from this ratio we can say that if AB ( Shadow of tower ) is increases , value of  tan θ decreases .

We know in tan θ if angle decreases value decreases . So

Given statement is false .                                                   ( Ans )
