If the lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus are 6 cm and 8 cm, the perimeter of the rhombus is:_ explain how?

a. 5 cm.       b. 12 cm.         c. 20 cm.         d.40 cm.

Length of first diagonal, d1 = 6 cmLength of second diagonal, d2 = 8 cmNow, length of each side of rhombus = sNow, s = d122+d222=622+822=32+42=9+16=25=5 cmSo, perimeter of rhombus = 4s = 4×5 = 20 cm

Correct answer is  C 20 cm

Rhombus is a paralleogram with all 4 sides equal. since the diagonals paralleogram bisect each other. The diagonals of rhombus bisect each other at 90°.

Hence the Rhombus will be divided in to 4 right angle triangles. with base = 4 cm & Height = 3 cm

using pythgoras theorem you can find the side ( Hyp) will be 5 cm

hence the perimeter of rhombus will be 20 cm
