if the mean of x,x+2,x+4,x+6,x+8 is 24 , find x.
pls send the answer fast

See, firstly formula of mean is = Sum of Observations/No.of observations

so,(x+x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8) / 5 = 24

5x + 20 =24 * 5

5x + 20 = 120

5x = 120 - 20

5x=100 so  x=100/5

hence , x = 20

= x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) + (x + 8) /5 = 24
= (x + x + x + x + x) + ( 2 + 4 + 6 +8) = 24
= 5x + 20 / 5 = 24
= 5x + 20 = 24 x 5
= 5x + 20 = 120
=5x = 120 - 20
= 5x = 100
= x = 100/5 = 20
= x = 20
