If the radius of a sphere is increased by P% , then find the value of increase in it surface area.

Let the initial radius be r .
when it is raised by P% , new raius will be r + rP/100 .
Initially its surface area was
 = 4πr2  Now the surface area will be 4π(r+ Pr100)2. Surface area is increased by 4π(r+ Pr100)2  -  4πr2  = 4πr2(1+P100)2-  4πr2  = 4πr2  ×(P210000 + 2P100)  Hope this would have cleared your doubt .
