If the radius of Earth shrinks by 1.5%, mass remaining the same, then how would the value of acceleration due to gravity change?

Acceleration is, g= GM/R^2Hence decreasing radius on 1.5% will lead to increasing of gravity on surface--g1/g = R^2/R1^2 = 1/(0.985)^2 = 1.03so, change in acceleration= (g1/g - 1)*100% = (1.03 - 1)*100% = 3%
