The given equation of the first line is    px + 3y = 4⇒3y = 4-px⇒y = 4 -px3 Slope of first line is m1 = -p3The equation of the second line is     3x + 4y = 7⇒4y = 7-3x⇒y = 7-3x4slope of the second line is m2 = -34Now, since first line is ⊥ to second line, then    m1 
 m2 = -1⇒-p3 × -34 = -1⇒p4 = -1⇒p = -4
