If the unit’s digit of a number is 7,state the remainder in each case when the
number is divided by 2,5 and 10.

The units digit is 7.

(1) When the number is divided by 2, the the remainder will be 1 as the greatest multiple of 2 less than 7 is 6.

So, the remainder is 7 – 6 = 1.

(2) When the number is divided by 5, the the remainder will be 2 as the greatest multiple of 5 less than 7 is 5.

So, the remainder is 7 – 5 = 2.

(3) When the number is divided by 10, the the remainder will be 7 as for the number to be perfectly divisible by 10, the unit`s digit must be 0.
