If two variables of a series are moving in opposite direction, what type of correlation does it depict?

Dear Student,
The statistical relationship between two variables is referred to as their correlation.
There are three types of correlation : Positive, Negative and No Correlation.
Positive Correlation : Both Variables move in the same direction.
Negative Correlation : When one variable's value increases, the other variable's value decreases.
No Correlation : There is no apparent relationship between the variables.
Thus, if two variable of a series are moving in opposite direction, that is Negative Correlation.
