If we have a disease , can we still be healthy?

Dear student,

Being disease free and being healthy are two independent concepts. According to World Health Organisation, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Thus being healthy takes more than absence of disease.
In case an individual, which has pathogenic infestation or infection or any physiological disorder that can be considered as a disease (communicable or non communicable), he or she will not be considered as healthy (scientifically). But, since health is generic term, my opinion of health and disease may vary from other individuals. It is debatable, but as we are all entitled to our opinion, above is the answer as per my understanding.

I hope the answer helped, but in case you are looking for something else, please get back to us with a detailed question. We will be happy to help you.

Regards,
