i dont know how to begin with.... because today was the most undesirable day of my life i first time in my life saw the stone hearted lord burst in tears.well.. the started with all the unwanted things happenings today. the cheif of ulva island dared to flee away with lord ullin daughter. At first lord ullin grew furious after hearing this news. and we all decided to search for them we rode on our horses. few moments later the sky become dark and we could hear the thundering of the clouds and we expected a destructive storm then and there no one was sure what will happen next. in the meantime we saw the horse of the chief on the shore after riding for three days . i was happy that now we have succeeded in our objectives but as the winds are blowing harder and the view become dark we find many difficulties . but as we go nearer to the shore we found that they have left the shore in the violent sea. but the sea was hellraising and we saw that the boat was sinking due the destructive waves and soon find out that the daughter was no more. lord ullin was crying in grief and moaning and saying that he want his daughter back which was not possible and for many hours we stayed there seeing the deep blue lochgyle turning red. may her soul rest in peace........

4thJune 1664

Lord Ullin sent message to me asking me to meet him in the court. I rushed to the court thinking that he would discuss strategies for invading the neighbouring kingdom. As soon as I reached the court I saw Lord Ullin's eyes were full of tears. I was taken aback as I could not understand why he was crying. After sometime he told me that his daughter eloped with the chieftain to marry him. Lord Ullin told me that he was totally against his daughter's wish to marry her lover. Lord Ullin ordered me to organise men and march immediately to nab the chieftain with whom his daughter eloped. I immediately organised the cavalry and rushed out of the court in search of the chieftain. Lord Ullin wanted to accompany us. He was crying. At the same time he was very angry with the Chieftain and wished to kill him if found. I tried to console him again and again. On this day we were clueless about the whereabouts of Lord Ullin's daughter and her lover. We went to sleep at night but could not sleep peacefully.

5thJune 1664

I woke up from sleep very early and planned with Lord Ullin about our search operation. We were clueless. We asked the local people if they had seen Lord Ullin's daughter and the chieftain. An old man told us that he had seen the chieftain along with Lord Ullin's daughter going towards the sea.

I at once got the message that they were trying to escape to a place where Lord Ullin's army could not reach. I directed my men to move towards the sea so that we could reach very fast and arrest the chieftain. We marched and marched, faster and faster. The weather was very stormy and unfavourable. Clouds thundered. There was lightening. Lord Ullin was full of anguish and anger. He was crying and crying. He told us that we had to be successful in our mission. He did not eat anything. I tried to console him. I never saw him so disturbed .

6thJune 1664

Early in the morning I woke up and directed my men to move towards the sea. Thundering clouds were there. There was turbulence everywhere. As soon as we reached the sea shore we saw Lord Ullin's daughter along with her lover sailing a boat. The sea was so turbulent. The waves were surging. I was sure that some misfortune with Lord Ullin's daughter was going to happen. What I anticipated it happened. The boat carrying Lord Ullin's daughter and her lover capsized. I was so shocked to see Lord Ullin. He started howling. He wanted to rush towards the sea to rescue his daughter. But it was beyond his capacity. I saw his daughter waving her hand asking for help. Lord Ullin was helpless. I saw him lamenting. He told me that he was taking back his order for arresting the chieftain and his daughter. But it was all in vain. I saw Lord Ullin's daughter drowning in the turbulent sea along with her lover. It was so pathetic to see a father witnessing the death his daughter helplessly. I could not sleep or eat that day. It was so pathetic.

Lord Ullin's Diary Entry

My heart is now too fiery
While pinched by many a pin
Oh! You're my dearest diary
And I am Lord Ullin.

I've lost all my cheer
With the reasons for living
And what's left are mere
Sighing, sorrow and suffering.

The lovely spring is gone
From the garden of my life
My only daughter eloped
And I was left with a knife.

All those years I raised her
With as luxury as possible
And now what I discover,
To her beau she was too amiable.

To sent the armed horsemen
My raging heart forced me
For she refused to listen
Which I could never see.

But now when I've seen her
Drowning with my eyes
I could have forgiven her
Is what I now realise.

Whatever was the matter
She had her right to choose
From a defeated father
And her highland Chief of course.

It's too late, Alas!
To think about her feeling
My daughter, girl and lass
She's gone and left me mourning.

Due to the circumstances
I didn't have other choice
To get my pretty princess
I cried at top voice.

I was forced to react
The way I really did
It was natural, in fact
After all she was my kid.

But now there is nothing
Which I can do really
First time in my living
I am helpless totally.

I wish to modify
My miserable past
I wish I could die
In exchange for her fast.

I wish I wouldn't have erred
For her I want the same
If fault is considered
I can't give any name.

I wish I could be milder
And she wouldn't have been childish
I wish I could alter
I wish I wish I wish...

Ullin.

Date
Day
...and there we were, looking for two lovers who had eloped; one, my lord Ullin's daughter, whom i had considered like a sister or 'as' my sister I must say, and the other wretch, our sworn enemy, the chief of Ulva's isle. Our lord was furious, his eyes full of wrath, for no soul had ever seen seen him in this condition ever before. Between the father and the daughter, whatever was going on; we, our master's loyal armed men, were the one who suffered. We even started having a dislike towards our Lord, who made us search for his daughter and her lover through all the places one could ever imagine. sometimes even without food or rest for a whole day! At last, we succeeded. We found them near the shore, wanting to leave for Ulva in a mere boat during a harsh sea storm. We sped down further on the command of our chief. I do not think that he expected them to leave for the sea. But to his and our horror, they did. The once fierce looking man with eyes full of flames, were all of a sudden extinguished by his tears and with his heart turned to ashes, knelt down like weeping child with his palms on his face on seeing the sight of his daughters soul along with her lover's, leaving for heaven. The man's sorrow and despair was a sight none of us could bear. We all lowered our heads, not knowing what to do, what to say, how to console him....

Today was one of  most unpleasant day ever.Firstly, Lord ullin called me to meet him. I was taken aback when I saw him, He had a distressed emotion on his face and he looked like he hadn't slept for hours. He asked me and the army to search for his daughter who had eloped with chieftain to marry him. We were shocked to hear the news, but then decided to search for them on our horses. Two days went by, but we never had any clue for where they were, On the third day, The sky became dark and the weather, stormy. We rode through the narrow valleys and at last reached the shore. The sight we saw was unbelievable. Lord ullin's daughter and his lover had left the shore on a boat and were going towards the violent sea. Perhaps,They fled due to the fear of being caught. The sea became more violent as every passing minute. We all could do nothing but stare helplessly. Lord ullin was screaming for them to come back, but all was in vain. After few moments, we could see the the boat sinking because of the destructive waves. And when lord ullin started crying in grief, we knew that she was no more. He was screaming and moaning as if in severe pain. It was a undesirable sight. May lord ullin's daughter's soul rest in peace.

Hope it helps!

Dear Diary,
Today at last after three days, we reached the shore with great difficulty. The wind was blowing horribly. The sea was raging. The waves rose higher and higher. Lord Ullin's daughter was trapped in the stormy sea. She was calling her father for help. Her one hand was strgtched toward her father and the other was round her lover. In spite of being so powerful, he wag unable to do anything. He was crying bitterly. Soon there was no sign of Lord Ullin's daughter and her lover. The scene was heart-moving. I became upset to see the wailing of a father for his poor child.
