In My opinion, it will be because of consuming contaminated water and lack of washrooms in a lcality. Unhygeinic measures and so on

By drinking contaminated water not getfing proper nutrients and lack of toilet facilites and excretion in open

1. lack of access to safe drinking water .
2. lack of  sanitation facilities .
3. dirty and unhygienic surrounding .
due to above reasons malaria is a major problem in slum areas.
