In a tank,10 ripples are produced in one second.If the distance between a crest and atrough is 10cm,find: (i)wavelength
                  (ii)frequency
                  (iii)velocity of the wave.

ii. As 10 ripples are produced per second(Unit Time), the frequency of the wave is 10Hz.

i.As the distance between crest and trough is 10cm, the distance between consecutive crests or troughs will be twice this distance i.e 20cm.
Therefore, Wavelength is 20cm

iii. v=f*w
       =10*0.2( In metres)
       = 2m/s

(i)  λ/2 = 10
so, wavelength  λ = 10 * 2 = 20cm = 0.2 m

(iii) v =  λf = 0.2 * 10 = 2m/s
