In example 3.1 on page 99 of NCERT Physics, in the solution of part (a), it has been written 'electrons drift in the direction of increasing potential'...... What does it mean???????

And do the electrons always flow in the same way or is it just for this particular case????

It simply means that the electrons flow from a point where a potential is less to a point where it is greater or they move to a more positive potential, being negatively charged. This a fundamental property of motion of electrons and they always do so naturally.
