In Humans it's said that Internal Fertilization happens but when we talk about IVF it would be External know? Then why it's said only internal?

Dear student, In-vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a process where fertilisation is carried outside the female's body. It involves the surgical removal of egg from the ovaries of the female and letting sperm fertilise them in a laboratory condition. The fertilised egg is then cultured for 2 to 5 days in a growth medium in a test tube ('in-vitro') and then implanted to the same or another women uterus. In-vitro fertilisation is used to treat fertility problems : such as blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, low sperm count or poor sperm movement etc. Since the egg is implanted inside the women uterus, due to this it is called In-vitro fertilization .
