In India most children need not to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A. Why?

The hepatitis virus, which infects the liver and causes inflammation, is usually spread when the person ingests even tiny amounts of faecal matter. In India, most children who live in villages and small towns need to be vaccinated for hepatitis as they can come in contact with faecal matter in several ways such as:

1) Eating food handled by someone who doesn't wash his/her hands thoroughly after using the restroom.
2) Drinking contaminated water.
3) Being in close contact with a person who is infected.
