In Julius Caesar, what is meant by"cold modesty"?

Dear student,

The line is : 'The enemies of Caesar shall say this; then, in a friend, it is cold modesty.' When Cassius interrupts the speech of Antony, Antony says even enemies could not but praise the qualities of Caesar. If a friend praised him then, it was just an understatement or cold modesty. It was an ordinary thing that ought to be said about Caesar.
