In magnets why don't north pole & north pole get attracted to each other ?

Magnetic lines of force come out of North Pole of a magnet and goes into the South Pole of a magnet in space.

When two North Poles of magnets are brought near, the lines of force coming out of both the poles push each other. Hence, we have a repulsive force and not an attractive force.
