In myelinated neuron the myelin sheath is covered by schwann cells
then why we say that myelin sheath is acting as a insulating
barrier rather than this we should say schwann cells are acting as
insulating barrier ?

Dear Student,

The Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system produces myelin
which the myelin sheath is made up of Therefore, we say that the
axon is covered with myelin sheath and not schwann cells
