in questions involving the naming of a benzene ring like question 12.4 (a) of ncert.when all do we decide the carbon chain is more dominant and start numbering from the carbon chain.i found some questions where the carbon chain is not dominant and we start numbering from the benzene ring.can u explain how the numbering works?
