In recent years , DNA sequences of mt-DNA and Y chromosomes were considered for the study of human solution , because
(A) They can be studied from the sample of fossil remains
(B) They are small , and therefore , easy to study
(C) They are uniparental in origin and don not take part in recombination
(D) Their structure is know in greater detail

Dear student,
Answer is c) They are uniparental in origin and do not take part in recombination.
Mitochondrial DNA consist of conserved sequences which do not take part in recombination and also they show maternal inheritance which is carried from generation to generation without changing sequences therefore mitochondrial sequences can be studied for evolution in humans.
Y chromosomes is only present in male so during gamete formation specific region of Y chromosome takes part in recombination called pseudoautosomal region and the rest of the sequence of Y chromosome remains unaltered and is carried from generation to generation and is thus conserved. Therefore Y chromosome  can also be used for the study of human evolution as the sequences are conserved and recombination do not occur in most part of the sequences of DNA.
Conserved sequences can only be used to study evolution by comparative analysis of the genome therefore rest of the option can not be used for the study of evolution of human.
