In the 17th question, how can we say that the line joining AI extended to meet BC at D is an altitude of triangle ?
17) In the given figure, ABC is a right angled triangle, right - angled at A . Find the area of shaded region if AB = 6 cm, BC = 10 cm and I is the centre of in- circle of ABC.

Find the area of shaded region (Take π = 3.14) .

Dear student
Suppose ABc has an incircle with radius r and centre l.Let a be the length of BC, b be the length of AC, and c be the length of AB. Now, the incircle is tangent to AB at some point D and so ADI is right.Thus, AD is an altitude.
