The writer is very compassionate and wants to become reader friendly. Hence he considers himself as the servant of the reader whosoever is going through the text. In order to introduce himself as one of the protagonist of the story, i.e Shyam, he writes the given line which is underlined.

Here it is why ? It is just because the author shyama is telling that he is under our service that we can enquire him with any help . Thus he said that he would be our servant . The author is not like other writers he wants his readers to be with him !
