In the following answers of the respective questions it has been clearly mentioned that-
In ans no. a: Since there is an increase in volume, the vapour pressure will initially decrease however in ans no b it has been mentioned that the vapour pressure does not depend on volume of the container and depends only upon temperature.

Please clarify my doubt since I am very confused over this.

Dear Student

In part (A), it is the case when the equilibrium is not established.
On increasing volume, vapour pressure decrease.

In part (B), it is when the equilibrium established.
When equilibrium established, vapour pressure depends upon the temperature not on volume.
