In the given figure, if AB parallel to CD, CD parallel to EF, find the value of (y-x):(y+x)

given-
AB//CD
CD//EF
in // line AB and CD let PR the transversal
∠BPR + ∠DRP=1800 (co-interior ∠)
500 + y= 1800
y=1800-500
y=1300
now in // Lines CD and EF let ST the transversal
∠DST=∠ETS
1100=∠ETS

∠ETS=300+x
1100-300=x
x=800
y-x
y+x
=1300-800
  1300+800
=500/2100
=5:21

Y= 180 -50 = 130
X= 180 -100 = 80

y-x = 130-80 = 50
y+x = 130+80 = 210

This is a transversal. Use the properties of transversal for any further questions like this...
Hope this helps

TAKING AB ll CD AND PR AS TRANSVERSAL..

50 + y = 180 ( co interior angles )

y = 130

CD ll EF AND ST AS TRANSVERSAL..

110 = x + 30 ( alternate interior angles )

x= 80

NOW WE HAVE y = 130 AND x = 80

( y - x ) = 130 - 80              = 50   ( y + x ) = 130 + 80               = 210
SOLVED HOPE YOU UNDERSTOOD THIS..
