IN THIS, WHAT IS THE FIGURE GIVEN ABOUT? WHAT IS THIS FIGURE SHOWING?

Dear Student,
The given figure is depicting the atmospheric pressure on the surface of earth.
Our atmosphere is a layer of air covering the earth from all sides. Atmospheric pressure is the pressure exerted by the weight of air in the atmosphere of the earth. The force per unit area, by the atmosphere on the surface of any object on the earth called atmospheric pressure.
At the sea level this pressure is equal to 101325 Nm-2. As elevation increases fewer air molecules are present, therefore atmospheric pressure always decreases with increasing height.
In most circumstance atmospheric pressue is closely approximated by the weight of air above the measurement point.
