In triangle DEW AB Parallel EW.IF AD =4cm,DE=12cm and DW =24cm then find the value of DB

Infact this was one of the questions from our maths exam.Please draw a diagram according to the question
I'll tell the answer.
WKT
​DE = AD + AE
12 = 4 + AE
=> AE = 8cm
​But by applying BPT,
AD/AE = DB/BW
​4/8 = DB/BW
​=>2DB = BW
but it is given that DW = 24cm
​DW = DB + BW
24 = DB + 2DB 
=> DB = 8cm.
