In waht forms are the oxygen and carbon dioxide transported inside the human body?

This is my holiday homework question.

Please help.

Oxygen combines with hemoglobin to form oxyhaemoglobin and it is in this form that it is transported while carbon dioxide can be transported as carbonic acid,  as carbaminohaemoglobin (in combination with haemoglobin) and as hydrogencarbonate.

@Manzil: Good work! Keep posting.

Oxygen is transported by hemoglobin. Oxygen combines with hemoglobin to form oxyhemoglobin. Carbon dioxide is easily soluble in water, so it get dissolved in blood plasma forming carbonic acid. Also give me thumbs up.
