In which way zitkala-sa was a victim of social oppression? ??

oppression and exploitation of the indigenous people, women, and weak is the harsh reality of all countries and civilizations throughout the world.

Zitkala-Sa was a native American who belonged to the late 19th century. she belonged to the marginalised community which was exploited to the hilt. her identity was questioned throughout and finally taken away from her. she was forcefully taken to a school where an alien language and culture was thrusted upon her. her long hair was chopped off against her wishes and the regimental life that she had accustomed herself to contain her free spirit. her moccasins were also forcefully taken away from her and she was given stiff shoes to wear.

zitkala-sa resisted against chopping off her hair but ultimately was overpowered by the school authorities.
thus, she was helpless but later on, through her writings she continued to fight against oppression.

hope it helps u, asra.. :) :)
