Dear Rohan,

How are you? I hope everything is well. I wanted to share with you my experience with two young boys on my recent visit to Verona. I met the two boys on my first day in Verona and as time went by, they  have proved themselves to be really very special. I will tell you their story which is truly inspiring. The boys had lost their father and later their house to war. They stayed in a humble shelter along with their sister. They joined the resistance and after the war they returned to their sister. But their sister had become sick with tuberculosis and they had no money to pay for her treatment. They did not give up and worked hard to earn money to pay the hospital bills. They hope that she will become well one day and start training as a singer and become famous like their father.
Such determination and courage is hard to find in boys of that age. Being responsible is not common for young children as childhood is the time to enjoy. But these boys made me realise that there is still hope for humanity as long as people like them are around. I was moved by their determination and wanted to help them, but here again they surprised me by refusing any help and I was forced to salute them for their self respect.

Yours sincerely
