Indian agriculture is gradually changing from the traditional subsistence type to the modern commercial agriculture the reason is due to impact of revolutionised   machinery  being used in the western countries which have attracted the Indian farmers which can decrease the work load and the use of pesticides.
The need for such a change is necessary as these procedures can increase the production with minimal loss of the crops.
