Iodoform gives the precipitate with AgNO3 on heating while chloroform does not. Give

reasons

When chloroform reacts with AgNO3  it forms AgCl which is very soluble. On heating, AgCl breaks and remain in their ionic form and thus are not seen in as precipitate.

In the case of Iodoform, it reacts with AgNO3  to form AgI. Now AgI has lower solubility product and thus is seen as precipitate.
