iron pipes coated with zinc do not rust easily.give reasons.

Iron metal gets rusted in the presence of oxygen and moisture. A coating of zinc protects iron from oxygen and moisture present in air. Due to this, iron pipes coated with zinc do not rust easily.

Reaction of Iron Nails with Copper Sulphate Solution in Water

When an iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution, a brown coating of copper is formed on the surface of iron and the colour of copper sulphate solution changes from blue to light green. This reaction shows that iron is more reactive than copper as it displaces copper from its solution and iron passes into solution as Fe2+ ions and ferrous sulphate solution is formed.

This reaction is a single displacement reaction.

For rusting to occur , both iron particles and moisture in required. Zinc does not allow moisture to come in contact with the iron particles. Thus this prevents the iron pipes from rusting

this is beacause zinc does not allow moisture tocome and contact with iron so that is why iron pipes do not rust easily.

The iron pipes do not get rusted when it is coated with zinc because for rusting moisture is required and zinc does'nt allow the moisture to come in contact with iron pipes that is why the iron do not rust easily.
