Is algin and carageen also used with agar to form ice creams ?

Alginates is extracted from brown seaweed and carrageenan is extracted from red seaweed. Both of these have water-holding properties and are used as a thickening agent (along with agar) in ice-creams.
They also contribute to soluble fibre in diet.
