Is all the preganglionic sympathic nerve fibres are adrenergic as well as cholinergic.

Please find below the solution to the asked query

The preganglionic sympathetic nerve fibres are mainly adrenergic i.e, they have epinephrine and norepinephrine as the primary neurotransmitters. However, there are some nerve fibres like that of sweat glands and arrectores pilorum muscles where both preganglionic and postganglionic synapses have acetylcholine as neurotransmitter.

Hence, sympathetic division does not have all the nerve fibres as adrenergic as well as cholinergic.

Hope this information will clear your doubts about the sympathetic nerve fibres.
