IS BAD AN ADVERB?

'Bad' is not an adverb. It describes an attribute of a noun and thus, is an adjective, just like good, fast, beautiful, sad, etc. 'Badly' in turn becomes adverb. Instances of the same can be: well, fastly, beautifully, sadly, etc. Hope that cleared your doubt.
