Is directing required at planning stage?? explain. can anybody tell me

We know that directing is a function thorough which the managers oversee the efforts of the subordinates and ensure it is according to the predetemined stqndard. And planning is the process of setting up of the standards for production. There is no direct need of directing in planning . But in planning we need the advise of the supervisor or the leader to communicate based on the efficiency of the workers so that standards are more accurate and practical .
