Is it possible that after a chemical reaction the proportion of the atom can change?
Dear Student
No, it is not possible to change the stoichiometry of atoms after a chemical reaction. The product/s of a chemical reaction is definite.
According to the law of conservation of mass, matter can neither be created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction.
Thus in a chemical reaction, the only rearrangement of atoms occurs to give a new product.
This is the reason why we balance the chemical equation.
H2 + O2 -> 2H2O
H2 + O2 -> H2O2
Although second equation is balanced, H2 and O2 do not combine to form hydrogen peroxide rather it forms water
