No. It is a physical process through which different levels of concentrated liquids (each kept in separate container and joined by a tube) diffuse but it contains a Semi permeable membrane.Chemically there must be some kind of reaction but here the molecules just change their position there is no interaction between them.Hence, it is a physical process.
