Is osmotic pressure of a solution a colligative property?Explain.

Colligative properties are properties of solutions that depend on the number of particles in a volume of solvent and not on the mass of the particles.

Since osmotic pressure depends upon the number of solute particles in a given amount of solvent, osmotic pressure is a colligative property.
