Is there any device by which direct current can be controlled without any loss of energy?

Dear student, No, there is no device that can control d.c. without any energy loss. Even when we use an inductor then also the same can not be achieved as for dc frequency will be zero, which ultimately result in zero value of reactance. With this we can say that no device can control dc without any energy loss. Regards
