Is there any difference between income tax and corporate tax paid by the company?

Dear Student,

Both income tax and corporate tax are direct taxes, that is, the burden of the tax and the liability to pay the tax both lie on the same person. However, income tax is levied on the incomes of individuals, while corporate tax is levied on the profits earned by a company.
