It is said that "gases assume the shape and volume of container".
Suppose some amount of gas is passed in an iron container of dimensions [ 50 cm * 20 cm] and of 1 kg. Let the volume found be x dm3. Now the same amount of gas is passed in a plastic container of same dimension but of 500 gm. So will the volume of gas remain same or will it change?

Dear User,
Volume of the gas depends upon the volume of container.Since the dimensions of both the containers are same, therefore the volume of both the containers will also be the same and so, volume of the gas will also remain same.
