it is the citizens of a country who make good or bad democracy justify the statement by giving suitable reasons

Suitable reasons are provided below :-

1)  The very essence of democracy is both the people who are ruled and the people who are elected.

​​​2)  South Africa made a peaceful transition to democracy because the people believed in Nelson Mandela’s words of forgiveness and there was hardly any violence against white settlers.​​​​​​

3)  Democracies like South Korea rely on people power to tide over national crises (Korean War) and are successful because its people strongly believe in the national cause.

4)  The behaviour of Japanese fans during the recent football match in Brazil where they cleaned up the portion of the stadium where they sat shows the devotion to nation building and democracy.

​​​​​​​5) It is the citizens only who choose right or wrong and takes decision and therefore, are responsible for good or bad democracy.
