Dear Student,

a. No system is perfect, we can always strive to make political system more participative and representative in its approach
b. It is true, that there are flaws in politics, that is all about struggle for power, it is characterised by corruption, red tapism, exploitation of narrow of social issues for narrow political gains. however one can always look forward to reforming politics
c. There are certain legal ways of reforming politics, which  implies bringing about necessary laws/ legislation or by making changes in the existing laws so as to make system more transparent in its functioning and more responsive to the needs of the people. One may give example of Right to information, Anti defection law, Jan Lok Pal etc which are surely an attempt to bring about good governance.
d.  However, it is also true to bring about reform in politics through legal recourse is difficult, as it requires effecrive implementation and consensus,
e.  It is important that legal reforms are to be implemented properly by the politicians, by administrators and most importantly citizens
f.  Legal reforms must be coincided with the following means:

i. Through the passage of various laws like Right to recall , A law must be passed empowering people to recall political representatives who fail to perform or deliver.

ii. Political parties must come under the ambit of right to information and share details like who funds them, how much money they spend and how they select candidates for elections to the public.

iii. Active and vigilant citizenry can go a long way in attaining People reforms. People can pass resolutions, put pressure on parties through petitions, protests demanding parties to be more transparent in their functioning.People can make use of media to question parties and their leaders on various policy matters.
