Total interest annually = 1280
Let the first part be x, then the second part = (12000 -
x)
simple interest = PRT/100
Therefore, [x*10*1+ (12000- x)*12*1]/100 =
1280
=> [10x + 144000 - 12x]/100 = 1280
=> 144000 - 2x/100 = 1280
=> 144000 - 2x = 128000
=> x = (144000 - 128000)/2
=> x = 8000
12000 - 8000 = 4000
Therefore she invested Rs8000 at 10 % and Rs 4000 at
12%
