Justify the title of the poem Fire And Ice

The poem 'Fire and Ice' by Robert Frost is about hypothetical end of the world. Th poet asserts that it will be destroyed either by fire or by ice. The central idea of this poem is that fire and ice are equally destructive in their own ways.

 Fire, represents burning passion whereas ice is also sufficiently destructive to destroy the world as ice depicts cold behaviour. According to the poet, hate and passion are both extremely destructive forces. Hence, we infer that what seem to be at first opposites : fire and ice are far more similar in their destructive capacity. It does not matter how a thing is destroyed. It only matters that it is destroyed by some force that acted evil.
